I obtained my B.Sc. degree in Mechanical Engineering from K. N. Toosi University of Technology, Tehran, Iran. I am currently pursuing my Master's degree at the University of Alberta, under the supervision of Dr. Milad Nazarahari at the IDEA Lab. My primary areas of interest lie in Image Processing and Artificial Intelligence, with a focus on their applications in healthcare and rehabilitation.
I am currently working on markerless motion capture for rehabilitation applications.
During my B.Sc. I did a variety of projects using deep learning methods. These included tasks like object detection and segmentation utilizing diverse models on various datasets, Human Activity Recognition (HAR), Retina disease classification, and Sleep stage classification using EEG signals with Neural Networks.
My B.Sc. thesis was about emotion recognition using facial appearance. The aim was to predict emotions from facial expressions, considering both categorical and continuous aspects (intensity) simultaneously.
